Creative Marketing Concepts is looking for a motivated Marketing Manager to join our rapidly growing promotional merchandising company. Established in 1962, CMC is San Francisco’s largest promotional marketing firm and twice has won San Francisco Business Time’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies. Our client base is dominated by SF’s hottest startups and Fortune 500 Companies such as Google, Yelp, Salesforce, Benefit, Fitbit, and Bleacher Report.  We have offices in San Francisco, San Jose, and Prague, Czech Republic.

This role offers the Marketing Manager an enormous opportunity to implement the company’s new brand strategy, which positions CMC as a design-forward brand stylist. The Marketing Manager will drive the development of a new web site, social media accounts, PR and lead generation strategies for sales.  We’re looking for a dynamic self-starter whose strengths are in content creation and social media strategy, including writing skills, a strong design aesthetic and the ability to lead a project from strategy to execution.  The successful candidate will also have experience in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) on mailers, events, social media and PR. Collaboration and creativity are central to this role, as the Marketing Manager will constantly interact with the sales team on lead generation and customer retention strategies, the Prague office on joint Marketing projects, as well as the Design team on creating catalogs, email blasts and client pitches. The ideal candidate will also have a personal passion for staying abreast of trends in design, fashion, pop culture and social media.

This is a full-time position in our San Francisco office in the Financial District. This is a high impact position, requiring creativity, independence, and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an integrated marketing and communications strategy to drive sales results, build brand awareness and “own” our unique design-forward, upscale market positioning
  • Oversee development of a new web side and lead ongoing content management
  • Develop an editorial strategy and write or secure content for CMC’s web site and social media accounts
  • Create lead generation strategies for sales – including catalogs, direct mail, email blasts and product showcases
  • Supervise execution of Marketing activities from strategy to production/design and results tracking
  • Contract external vendors and/or agencies for designing and producing Marketing assets
  • Devise PR strategies for key trade and business press – including building relationships with key journalists and pitching stories featuring CMC executives
  • Identify opportunities for speaking engagements for CMC at key trade events

Qualifications:

  • Experience working on a variety of marketing campaigns from inception to completion
  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in B2B marketing; agency experience is a plus
  • Sound understanding of marketing principles
  • Excellent writing, research and analytics skills; a strong design aesthetic
  • Experience in digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven thinking
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising or journalism
  • Previous experience as a social media or marketing manager for B2B organizations
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop
